Managing Partner, J. James Lee is a seasoned business development professional with experience in marketing a multitude of investment management services.
Most recently J. James Lee was Vice President-Sales for Citigroup Asset Management. Prior to Citigroup, he was Vice President at Fred Alger Management. At both firms he was responsible for West Coast business development.
He has developed a strong network of institutional contacts that include consultants and plan sponsors. With over 23 years of investment industry experience which include senior level positions in Asset Management, broker/dealer and plan sponsor functions, he has acquired a solid understanding of and experience with multiple investment strategies and asset classes.
In addition, from 1994-2001 J. James Lee served as a trustee on the $3 Billion Contra Costa County (CA) Employees’ Retirement Board. During his tenure he served three times as board chair and twice as investment committee chair. Mr. Lee is currently or has been a member of the following organizations:
In addition to many regional and national speaking engagements at conferences, J. James Lee has also taught a three hour pension management class sponsored by Stanford Law School and The California Association of Public Retirement Systems.
